2.3.3 How to Configure L2VPN VLAN on a Service Line
L2VPN VLAN
configuration is available only on Service Lines with an active L2VPN
subscription plan. For standard plans, the VLAN configuration interface is not
exposed. See Section 3 — L2VPN for full architecture context.
Access the VLAN configuration:
- Navigate to the Service Line Details page
- In the Devices and Telemetry section, locate the L2VPN
configuration button adjacent to the User Terminals
- The button is inactive unless the Service Line is on an
L2VPN plan — confirm the subscription plan if the button does not appear
- Click the button to open the VLAN configuration dialog
- Review the Orbius-allocated VLAN ranges for your
account (provided by Orbius during L2VPN onboarding)
- Select the VLAN tagging type: Single Tag (802.1Q) or
Q-in-Q (802.1ad)
- Select the Point of Presence (PoP) where traffic should
be delivered (e.g., Miami, London)
- Enter the required VLAN identifiers:
- C-VLAN only for
Single Tag;
- both C-VLAN and S-VLAN for Q-in-Q
5.
Click Save, the mapping can be modified at any time
VLAN validation rules:
• A maximum of 2 VLAN mappings can be configured per User
Terminal; each mapping can hold multiple VLANs (including ranges)
- Single Tag: C-VLAN must fall within your
Orbius-allocated range and be unique per terminal
- Q-in-Q: C-VLAN must be unique per terminal
(1–4094); S-VLAN must be unique and from your allocated S-VLAN ranges
• Orbius validates entries against allocated ranges; IDs
outside your range will be rejected
|
📌 Note:
VLAN IDs outside your
allocated range will be rejected at save. Contact support@orbius.com to
request additional VLAN range allocation.
