2.2.2 How to Deactivate a Service Line

2.2.2 How to Deactivate a Service Line

Deactivate a Service Line when a site is permanently closed, a terminal is being replaced, or a customer relationship ends. Deactivation stops the service immediately.

⚠️  Important:

Deactivation is permanent. The Service Line will be removed at end of month. Any remaining data allowance for the current billing period will be forfeited.

Steps:

  1. Open the Service Line Details page for the line to be deactivated

  2. Validate that all deactivation prerequisites are met:

    1.   No VLANs active on the Service Line
    2. No terminal associated with the Service Lin
  3. Click the Deactivate button (located in the header or action menu)
  4. Confirm the deactivation when prompted — acknowledging that service will stop immediately
  5. The Service Line status will change to 'Suspended' and service will stop immediately

After deactivation:

  1. The terminal is unassigned and becomes available for use on a new Service Line
  2. The deactivation action is recorded in the Audit Trail
  3. Monthly Terminal Access Charges cease from the deactivation date
  4. The Service Line remains visible in the dashboard until end of month, at which point it is automatically removed
