General installation guidance

Use the Starlink App to position the terminal in the optimal direction, the app provides tilt and rotation recommendations

Mount the antenna at the validated obstruction-free position identified during the site survey

Spacing: maintain a minimum of 1.5 m between multiple Starlink antennas to avoid inter-terminal interference

Route the cable from the terminal to the indoor equipment following the pre-planned route from the site survey

Power on the terminal and wait for it to initialise, this typically takes 3–5 minutes on first boot

L2VPN deployment: edge router connection

For L2VPN deployments, connect the edge router/switch directly to the Starlink UT via RJ45 Ethernet cable.
The port on the edge device must be configured in 802.1Q trunk mode before powering up the terminal.
