❔What is a service line?
A service line represents an individual connectivity service (subscription or data plan) associated with:
A service address
A Starlink terminal
To receive service, each Starlink terminal must be assigned to an active service line.
Most Orbius service plans supportone terminal per service line, but Global Priority plans can support up to two terminals under the same service line.
📄Prerequisites Before Creating a Service Line
Before creating a service line, it make sure that:
✅ You have access to the Orbius Self-service portal: portal.orbius.com
✅You have at least one Starlink assigned to your account (not already associated with another service line) ✅You have a signed contract with Orbius and your payments are up to date
👨🏼💻 Step-by-Step: How to Create a Service Line
- Step 1: Log into the Orbius Self-Service Portal
- Go to portal.orbius.com and sign in with your credentials.
Step 2: Access your account
In the main menu, click on “Accounts” to manage your organization’s services.
- Step 3: Validate or Create a Service Address
Click on “Addresses”.

Confirm that your service address exists, or create a new address if needed.
For Global Priority (e.g., maritime) services, use your headquarters address, as these terminals are mobile
- Step 4: Initiate Service Line Creation
- Return to the “Overview” page.
- Click the “Quick Action” button: “Create Service Line”.

- Step 5: Provide a "Nickname" for the service line
- Write a nickname to facilitate identifying the service line

We recommend to establish a naming convention, and always follow the same structure, for example:
[Starlink serial Number] - [End-customer]
- Step 6: Select a Subscription Plan
In the pop-up window, choose the correct
subscription from the available
product portfolio.

Note: The portfolio may be limited in the Beta version of the portal.
- Step 7: Assign a service address
- Select the appropriate service address for the new service line

In the case of Global Priority (maritime) use cases, just select the headquarters address, given that the terminal will not be based in a single location.
- Step 8: Find your Service Line to finalize set-up
Navigate to the “Service Lines” tab.

Find the new service line searching by the "nickname".
Click into the service line to manage its details.
- Step 9: Add a Starlink terminal to your service line to establish service
- In the "Service Line" tab, scroll down to find the "Add device" button

- Select the user terminal associated with the service line from the list

Ensure that the serial number of the Starlink terminal assigned to the service line matches the terminal installed at the service address—this is critical for proper service activation and management.
If you cannot find the serial number of the Starlink terminal installed, please, open a ticket with Orbius Support (link)
✅ Once completed, your service line is active and ready for use
